Post-wedding update

Yeah, so it's been a while. I've been busy!

The wedding was fantastic. It couldn't have gone any better. The ceremony was great and the music was completely awesome. Bert (the pastor) really captured the way Gabe and I want to live our lives.

The reception was so much fun. I can honestly say that I had a really great time at my own wedding! The DJ, Kris Phillips played a great selection of songs. The food was good (at least that's what everyone tells me) and the cake was sooo good (that one I confirmed for myself!).

We danced the night away while our car was being wrapped in plastic.

We seriously had such a great time and it meant so much that so many people were able to make it!

Check out the wedding pictures at www.gabeandmeg.com . The awesome pictures were done by my photographer, Tim Zielenbach. Check out his website at www.zielenbach.com.

Here's the update on the Germany preparations:

-We shipped the car on September 2nd. Hopefully, it will be there when we get there.

-We had our own going-away party at the house-lots of fun!

-Our pack and ship dates have been set and we know when we'll be done with work.

-I have my PCS orders and our flights are booked. We're outta here on 2 October!

The last few weeks here in the states will be busy. The Charleston Scottish Games are this weekend and the Charleston Scottish Country Dancers are hosting a Friday welcome dance, platform dancing at the Games on Saturday, and a formal dance on Saturday night. Then it's off to the pub for the halfway to St. Patty's day celebration. The following weekend the Charleston model boaters will be hosting the Tunnel Championships so Gabe will be a busy guy. More to come on those events soon.

That's it for now :)

I for one, had a great time at Meghan and Gabe's wedding. What a fun group of family and friends. Meg was just beautiful, and Gabe looked sharp too! I never knew what a good dancer Gabe was, he leads a mean Conga Line.

You two give a whole new meaning to "Life in the Fast Lane".

Godspeed!
